The tighter framing brings the dial forward within a fine beaded gilt-metal bezel. Roman numerals and small minute marks are arranged across the white surface, crossed by two dark hands. Two round openings with black rims appear in the lower half. Their dark outlines contrast with the fine marks around the outer edge. Around the circle, leaf garlands descend along the pale uprights and connect visually with the side blocks. The red veined columns, ornate capitals and sunburst pendulum remain sharply visible. The handled finial fills the top, while the pale stone base carries a large gilt floral motif and two rosettes.
