Seen from a front three-quarter angle, the trunk fills most of the foreground. Its brown covering carries abundant scuffs, scratches and faded patches. Dark riveted bands reinforce the lid and panels, while rounded metal guards protect the corners. A central latch and two side clasps give the front a clear, symmetrical structure.
A flexible handle can be seen on the left side. Several heavily worn label fragments remain on the front and side. Behind the trunk, a green-painted display cabinet, wooden furniture, lamps, a table and a basket create the warm setting of an antiques shop.
