Carved wooden mask with pale face and red motifs

This carved mask has a long oval face covered in an uneven pale finish. The eyes are reduced to two horizontal slits beneath raised brows, while a straight elongated nose leads down to projecting dark lips. A black headdress cut with fine concentric grooves surrounds the upper face and supports a broad upright element. Red and dark bands descend through the centre of the forehead before forming two tapered motifs on the cheeks. Several perforations follow the mask’s right edge. Flaking paint and worn areas stand out in warm light, with other wooden carvings softly blurred around it.
